Refreshing! Guilt-free keema curry

<Cooking Time 15min + Cooking Rice>

People of all ages, in all seasons, can eat it anytime! Curry is delicious, isn't it? ☺️

Among curries, this is super quick! Kids love it too! Here’s a recipe for keema curry.

The curry roux available at Inazo Rice Store is plant-based and does not use animal fats. (Of course, no chemical seasonings either)

Since it's a menu that you can eat a lot of, we finish it off lightly and refreshingly with the moisture from the tomatoes!

【Ingredients】 *The quantity is for about 3 servings. It won't affect the final result much, so feel free to adjust!

Basic Ingredients

• Onion…1, chopped

• Ground meat…200g

• Tomato…1, diced into 1.2cm cubes. If you're concerned about the skin, peel it.

• Curry roux…about 20g

• Oil for frying (since we’re going with high heat, rice oil is recommended!)

• Water for adding (used when frying the onion). Please prepare a container that allows you to pour a little at a time.

• Salt koji or salt…a little, for seasoning the ground meat. Salt koji is recommended as it adds depth to the flavor. Of course, onion koji is also okay.

+Optional (for garnish)

• Carrot…a little for color

• Garlic…chopped

Oh, and don’t forget the freshly cooked rice!

The garnish is Twenty Grain Rice Great!

*The ground meat in the back of the photo is not of poor color.

To make it even lighter, boil the ground meat once, drain it, and then sprinkle with salt koji. It’s convenient to store in the freezer when you buy in bulk!

【Instructions】

0. To eliminate guilt and finish lightly,

boil water in a pot and boil the ground meat. Once drained, sprinkle with salt koji to season.

※ If the ground meat is not fatty, just seasoning is fine.

1. Heat oil in a frying pan over low to medium heat.

Once warmed, add garlic. Transfer the aroma to the oil.

2. When the garlic aroma rises, add the chopped onion.

Stir-fry over medium to high heat. Mix with a spatula.

When the onion starts to change color a bit, try adding water.

Oh, how mysterious, it turns golden brown.

Continue to stir-fry over medium to high heat, adding water to prevent burning.

After a while, it should look like this:

Sorry, I took the photo after adding the carrot 💦. If you’re adding other vegetables, please add them at this timing.

You could stir-fry a bit more, but Inazo gives in to hunger around this point.

3. Add the tomato and cover. Medium to low heat.

4. When the tomato softens, crush it.

5. Add the ground meat! Mix well.

6. Add the curry roux! Mix well.

Since the direct fire roasted curry roux is in flake form, add it to your desired consistency.

If you want to add spiciness or your favorite spices, add them before the garlic in step 1 to transfer the aroma to the oil!

Adding green chili, cumin, and coriander will enhance the refreshing taste!

Now, regarding the poorly colored ground meat mentioned during the ingredient explanation, using boiled ground meat means that even if you refrigerate the leftover curry overnight, look!

There’s no greasy fat!

It can be deliciously eaten in a bento as well.
