Grilled rice balls with a fragrant soy sauce and sesame oil flavor

<Preparation time 30 min + cooking time >
I love grilled rice balls, but whenever I make them they always fall apart... I thought frozen grilled rice balls would be the best! But I've finally found a way to make them so they don't fall apart.
If you cook a lot of rice at once and freeze it, you can enjoy grilled rice balls anytime, anywhere, for breakfast, as a snack, or even on a picnic.

[Ingredients] This is for 2 cups.
・2 cups of white rice
・Glutinous barley (optional!) Due to the size of the rice cooker, I used about 40cc this time.
・Sesame oil (appropriate amount)
・White sesame seeds, as desired (thinly sliced shiso leaves are also delicious!)

【How to make】
1. When cooking rice, add A.
A will be about 60cc in total. Reduce the amount of water and add A and cook.

2. While it's cooking, prepare the ingredients.
If the dough sticks, it will fall apart, so we recommend using a Teflon-coated frying pan. Apply sesame oil to the entire surface.
Inazo, who loves party food, cooks it on a hot plate. He doesn't want it to fall apart (traumatic lol), so he lays a baking sheet down and coats it with sesame oil.
*Teflon-coated frying pans should never be left empty when cooking, but hot plates are designed to prevent the temperature from rising to the point where toxic gases are generated (PTFE's upper limit of use is 260°C). Please adjust the heat to match the temperature range of your hot plate.

3. Once cooked, add roasted sesame seeds and mix.
It smelled so good, I had to resist the urge to have a bowl.
Close the lid again and steam for about 10 minutes.

*In this photo, glutinous barley and sesame seeds have not been added.
4. Make rice balls.
The key is to cook it fresh so the grains of rice stick together and don't crumble, but you can let it cool until it's still hot enough to hold in your hand.
Since you will be rolling it on the plate, make sure it is a little firm and tight.
The small one is for children, and the large one is for rice cultivation.
We will start grilling what we have made!
If you touch it with your bare hands or chopsticks, wet them with water to prevent it from sticking.

If you coat it with sesame oil, it will become crispy.

Once it's cooked to your liking, it's done!

Wrap each one individually and freeze!
