I think the easiest dishes to make are hotpots like curry and pork soup. All you have to do is cut the ingredients and boil them. If you use a pressure cooker, it's even quicker.

An even easier option is takikomi gohan, where you just chop up the ingredients, put them in the pot with the rice, and cook.

Amazing! It's so easy that even a lazy man working away from home can do it. ( Though I probably won't do it.)

Mastering rice dishes could be a great way to expand your cooking repertoire .

For example, I think sweet potatoes and mushrooms are great supporting actors that don't overpower the main ingredient, the rice.

Cooking root vegetables such as carrots and burdock, or finely chopped bunapi together with rice, adds a lot of water-soluble dietary fiber, is colorful, and makes the rice much more nutritious than white rice alone.

Now, I was given some recipes by Ms. Chiyomi Kawasaki , who runs a cooking school in Singapore . It's a shame I can't post photos, but I'd like to introduce two of them.

Both require a small amount of dashi and sake.

☆Tuna and mushroom rice

Materials

2 cups of rice
1 pack of shimeji mushrooms
2 shiitake mushrooms
1 can of tuna
1/4 carrot
*seasoning
300ml dashi stock
1 tbsp light soy sauce
2 large servings of sake
Green onions and white sesame seeds (as needed)

How to make it

1. Wash the rice. Cut off the stems of the shiitake mushrooms, separate them into small clusters, and loosen them. Finely chop the carrots. Remove the stems from the shiitake mushrooms and thinly slice them.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a frying pan, then add the mushrooms and fry until fragrant.

3. Put rice and mushrooms in a rice cooker and cook

4. Once the rice is cooked, squeeze out the excess water from the tuna, scatter it around the rice cooker, mix well, and steam for about 10 minutes .

☆Potato and bacon rice

Materials

2 potatoes
2 slices of bacon
2 cups of rice
*seasoning
300ml dashi
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
2 large servings of sake
10g butter

How to make it

1. Peel the potatoes, cut them into 1cm cubes, and wash them. Cut the bacon into 1cm pieces .

② Wash the rice and put the rice, bacon, and potatoes in the rice cooker, add the seasonings, and cook.

③ Once cooked, add butter and mix well.

4. Place in a serving bowl, sprinkle with green onions and black pepper.
